UNIX and Linux
UNIX and LINUX are multi-user, multi-process systems and carry various business-critical applications and their server processes that were developed in C, C++, Java or other programming languages. Availability and performance of these applications is directly dependent on how effectively the operating system is managing hardware resources for parallel applications.
The operating system data collector for the UNIX operating system allows administrators to comprehensively monitor a production server running under a UNIX operating system such as AIX, Solaris, HP-UX or Linux. Naturally, this also covers the corresponding virtualization technologies, for example AIX DLPAR or Solaris Zones.
Microsoft Windows
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Windows Server 2000 are the successors of the successful Microsoft Windows NT Server operating system. All three of the Windows operating systems are designed to run on high-availability servers, and support preemptive multitasking and/or multiprocessing as well as multiprocessor operation.
The data collector for Microsoft Windows servers provides comprehensive monitoring of large multiprocessor servers (32 and 64-bit) running under Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Windows Server 2000, or a Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 operating system. With theGuard! ApplicationManager, a large number of operational parameters and application processes on these servers can be monitored and compared in parallel. |

Fujitsu Siemens Flex Frame
FlexFrame™ for mySAP™ Business Suite is the IT infrastructure realization of SAP's Adaptive Computing concept, which is based on SAP NetWeaver, and a joint project of the technology partners Fujitsu Siemens Computers, SAP, and Network Appliance.
The full virtualization of SAP applications and the separation of those services from the infrastructure resources results in significantly higher flexibility in SAP operation. Those infrastructure resources are made available according to the innovative principles of autonomous systems with features such as virtualization and automatic provisioning.
Monitoring and analyzing the availability, error states, and performance of distributed systems like FlexFrame are complex tasks. theGuard! ApplicationManager takes the complexity out of these monitoring activities by keeping track of SAP systems and database in real time – no matter on which physical server the databases or SAP Application Servers are located. As a result of extensive tests carried out in Fujitsu Siemens' Walldorf-based SAP Competence Center, REALTECH was awarded the “in conformity with FlexFrame” status. |
