theGuard! NetworkManager’s Netflow Option is a web-based analysis software, which delivers indispensable information on the network traffic across entire enterprises. This includes detailed analyses on the communication relationships between network subscribers (nodes), which in turn can be grouped and analyzed per users, applications or given protocols.

In the event of network anomalies, for example caused by viruses or worms, Netflow Collectors issue real-time alerts! Efficient handling by the NetworkManager ensures immediate event forwarding to the respective administrator.

 

Prevent system damage - every second counts!

The data pool is culled from Cisco routers, switches or Netflow-enabled devices from other vendors. The NetworkManager Netflow Collector receives this data and sends it to the NetworkManager database in aggregated form. The data is statistically processed by the analysis software and subsequently visualized on the basis of predefined time periods.

Due to the immense amount of data returned, compressing the data without losing any of its validity is always an important consideration. The compressed data is automatically archived to a database on a monthly cycle to ensure long-term analysis.
