In late May 2011, SAP will launch the first wave for the ramp-up of SAP Solution Manager 7.1. This latest release includes a host of new features such as the completely redesigned system monitoring and the web interface of CRM 7 for service desk and change request management. Parts of the new software architecture were complete redesigned, which makes it necessary to modify or reconfigure existing scenarios using a migration path.
 
SAP customers that want to benefit from the new release will have to replace the old CRM ABAP Graphical User Interface (GUI) for Change and Request Management (ChaRM) and Service Desk with the new Web User Interface (Web UI).

SAP also offers a new monitoring and alerting framework with new dashboards that are directly integrated with SAP Business Intelligence.
