Support partnership with SAP expanded on a global scale

REALTECH becomes the first "Global Alliance Partner Support" for technical mySAP consultancy

Walldorf, 14 February 2001

REALTECH AG, a leading supplier of technology consultancy, software solutions and hosting of complex e-commerce environments, has further expanded its strategic cooperation with SAP AG. In doing this, REALTECH aims to provide companies all over the world with support in implementing and operating mySAP applications. The agreement, which is provisionally valid until 2003, includes fixed delivery quotas for support and technical consultancy.

This cooperation entails REALTECH, as preferred partner, teaming up with SAP AG to prepare, accompany and validate the technological implementation of mySAP solutions. The partnership will focus in particular on mySAP components Customer Relationship Management and Business Intelligence.

"Global Alliance Partner Support” is the highest level of SAP support partnership and requires high commitment and large investments in resources for joint support. Reasons why SAP has opted for REALTECH as partner include the many years of successful cooperation between the two companies, REALTECH´s technical know-how and the fact that the corporate group is represented worldwide.

SAP expects increased demand for technical consultancy throughout the entire implementation cycle – particularly in the markets of EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and the USA. This includes services such as creation of operational concepts, benefit analyses, roll-out and going-live checks.

Reasons why SAP has opted for REALTECH as partner include the many years of successful cooperation between the two companies, REALTECH´s technical know-how and the fact that the corporate group is represented worldwide – the enterprise has offices in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia, allowing it to offer rapid customer support locally in all important markets. REALTECH has demonstrated its technical expertise on numerous occasions in the past and was the first systems integrator worldwide to show that it is possible to operate several separate SAP installations on the new high-end operating system Windows 2000 Datacenter Server. The Walldorf-based company also played a key role in the development of SAP R/3 on Linux. What’s more, REALTECH already has experience in setting up, operating and hosting complex mySAP environments.

REALTECH intends to offer an extensive range of services, such as consultancy, implementation of enterprise-wide mySAP e-business solutions and hosting of these applications in its own computer center. These services, available to both existing customers and new customers gained through SAP AG, guarantee high system availability thanks to the company’s own software products for application and network management.
