January:

REALTECH's Managing Board is declared "Founder of the year 2000". VNR Verlag für die Deutsche Wirtschaft, which publishes the specialist magazine "Der Gründungsberater", awards a price of 10,000 marks to a team of founders whose entrepreneurial and innovative work gives new impetus to the German economy.

March:

REALTECH acquires a ten per cent interest in the British enterprise InterClubNet Ltd. The two companies team up to develop and operate a trading platform in the Internet which allows soccer clubs to settle international player transfers online.

April:

REALTECH's US branch enters into a cooperative deal with Microsoft regarding SAP consultancy. This agreement entails Microsoft recommending the services of REALTECH when customers wish to install R/3 systems on Windows 2000 or SQL servers.

May:

REALTECH AG welcomes around 200 participants to its first public annual general meeting in Palatin hotel, Wiesloch. The main focus of stockholders' interest is on the corporate strategy for the fiscal year 2000.

REALTECH is the first European systems house to participate in the Joint Development Program for the Windows 2000 Datacenter Server operating system and is the first systems integrator worldwide to demonstrate that several SAP R/3 installations can be operated and managed on Windows 2000 Datacenter Server simultaneously.

June:

SAP AG awards REALTECH the status of software partner for mySAP.com. REALTECH receives the quality seal for its IM/3 and theGuard! products. Tests have shown these software products for managing applications and networks to be completely compatible with SAP's e-Business package.

July:

Roland Weishaupt becomes the fifth member of the REALTECH Managing Board. Since his appointment, this expert in the industry has acted as Chief Sales Officer (CSO), responsible for coordinating all of REALTECH AG's international marketing and sales activities.

September:

REALTECH opens a sales office in the Argentinean capital of Buenos Aires, thus establishing itself in the South American market. The company immediately wins contracts for projects, including one from Mercedes Benz Argentina. Further REALTECH customers with branches in South America also benefit from the fact that REALTECH is now represented locally.

October:

REALTECH concludes the acquisition of software provider GloBe Technology GmbH, based in Walldorf. REALTECH previously held a 51 per cent share in the specialist for Web-based workflow. In taking over the remaining 49 per cent, the enterprise emphasizes its strategy of increasing the proportion of its revenue in the product business.

November:

theGuard! 2.0 is launched. This new version of REALTECH's software for managing applications and IT systems is designed in such a way as to secure maximum availability and performance of critical business applications.

December:

Bahlsen Snacks GmbH & Co. is added to REALTECH's long list of prominent customers. The Neu-Isenburg-based snack food manufacturer opts for REALTECH to operate its e-Business solutions for its purchasing and sales/distribution departments. Today, Bahlsen already supports around 30,000 customers via the Internet.

Markus Adam, spokesperson for the Managing Board and co-founder of REALTECH AG who has been ill since February 2000, leaves the company's Managing Board as of 1.12.2000 .
